Lifelong Friends Drive Humanitarian Relief Effort for Ukraine

Aiding Ukraine pledges 100% of donations will go directly to Ukrainian relief efforts

Minneapolis, Minn. (April 18, 2022) – Two men, both born Ukrainian. One immigrates to the United States as a child and becomes an American success story. The other stays to become a government leader in independent Ukraine.

Now, with Ukraine waging what they call an “unyielding quest for freedom”, these lifelong friends have created a process through the foundation ‘Charitable Foundation’  to help much needed humanitarian relief bypass government red tape to reach those who are in need.

The issue is that critically needed medical supplies can’t get from western Ukraine to the east, where fighting is heaviest and the need is urgent. Now, through the creation of  aidingukraine.org, a reliable and direct conduit for funding that relief effort exists.

The Aiding Ukraine relief effort is spearheaded by Dr. Robert Kramarczuk, whose career includes running successful businesses, teaching the first MBA program in the former Soviet Union, and starting up seven graduate educational programs in the U.S.. In 1991, he and Ivan Vasiunyk, former Deputy Prime Minister in Ukraine, launched Lviv Institute of Management (LIM).

“I have been touched by the outpouring of support and generosity from friends both known and unknown,” says Kramarczuk. “An enemy bullet can pierce a breast and still a beating heart, but the human soul is eternal.”

Bob’s closest friend, partner, and godfather to his youngest daughter, Ivan Vasiunyk, now has a critical leadership role in coordinating humanitarian and light military supplies to Ukraine.

“Humanitarian assistance is most critical at this time. Assistance in funding and materials is needed for this inhumane and unbearable crisis on a yesterday basis“, says Vasiunyk.

An initiative of the MN 501(c)(3) CASES Institute, Aiding Ukraine is working intimately with Charitable Foundation to address the urgent needs of the people they serve. This long-standing friendship provides a unique opportunity for constant communication and an ability to immediately and directly address the changing needs in Ukraine. With millions of people displaced, the need only continues to grow. According to Charitable Foundation, the urgent need is for funds to not only purchase medical supplies, and non-military aid, but also to pay for fuel for the trucks and to support drivers who risk their lives to transport supplies, rape kits and other materials that have already been donated, from the west to east.

Donations to support Ukrainians can be made at: https://AidingUkraine.org/donate

Donations can be made through the no-fee charitable giving tool, NetGiver. Joel Ackerman, Interim Executive Director of CASES Institute states, “We have received overwhelming support during the first days of our campaign and expect additional gifts in the coming days and weeks.” Ackerman emphasizes that “through partnerships, creativity, and no-fee donations, we are committed to ensuring that 100% of any individual’s gift is sent to Lviv, Ukraine to assist humanitarian relief efforts.”
